The Delhi Dynamos pulled off thrilling 4-3 victory against fellow strugglers the Kerala Blasters at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Saturday.
The Lions were trailing 3-1 just before the hour mark but went on to score 3 goals and snatch all 3 points in the enthralling ISL match.
But the homeside started the match on the front foot dominating possession, but could not find the opener, with the first shot at goal coming from the visitors.
The hosts were in front by the 22nd minute after Kalu Uche slammed the ball into the back of the net for his seventh goal in six games.
The visitors equalised in the 37th minute through Sibongakonke Mbatha, who bombed inside the box but his cross aimed for Keane took a deflection off Gabriel Cichero to settle into the back of the net.
ATK went ahead in the 52nd minute through Robbie Keane who scored again in the 58th minute to give his side a 3-1 lead.
The hosts quickly reduced the deficit in the 69th minute through Uche with his brace and then equalised in the 71st minute.
Both sides looked for the winner from then on with the hosts finally getting their reward in added-time as substitute Matias Mirabaje left-footed shot from inside the box gave Poirei no chance.
After the match Delhi coach Miguel Angel Portugal said that Manuel Arana and Matias Mirabaje had tilted the game for the team.
“I looked at the match and I thought at 1-3, it wasn’t a fair reflection since we had been playing well. We just made two mistakes and Kolkata made it 3-1. That is why I made the three changes.
“Matias Mirabaje is a very important player and we are playing two matches in four days hence, he did not start the match since I want to keep my players fresh for all games.
“I think Matias and Manuel Arana changed the match in the last 30 minutes when they came on,” he said.
