Al Wahda is a professional football club from Abu Dhabi. They play in the UAE Pro League and are managed by Grégory Dufrennes. The team’s home ground is Al Nahyan Stadium, which holds 15,000 spectators.
Generally, Al Wahda’s colors are maroon, gray, and white, as seen in their club logo. Their home kit is currently styled in blue and maroon, while the away kit colors are white and maroon. Al Wahda are four-time winners of the Super Cup.
Al Wahda are one of the clubs based out of the Emirati capital. They were formed in 1974, but the first mention of Al Wahda was in 1969. The team underwent a merger in 1974, which saw them transition to Al Wahda SC. Then, in 1984, a second merger established the Pro League club.
Since then, the team has been a regular in the UAE Pro League table, and they won their first title in the 1998/1999 season. They won the title three more times in the early 2000s, with their latest win being in the 2009/2010 season.
