After Delhi had the better of the chances in the first half, Bengaluru had the first chance in the second half. In the 70th minute Udanta took advantage of a confusion in the Delhi defence to play Xisco Hernandez through on goal with a good lob. But the Spaniard’s first-time shot was straight at Albino.

The eventual winner was scored with 4 minutes of regulation time remaining after Udanta’s 20 yard shot found the back of the net.

After the match Bengaluru head coach Carles Cuadrat spoke of his delight with the result considering he number of key players missing from the squad.

“We have been using more or less the same team throughout the season because we were getting results. So, when you lose three players who have been participating a lot like Erik Paartalu, Miku and Dimas Delgado, you have to readjust everything. Of course, you cannot demand the same level of football because it is different. But the guys were giving their best to get the points and we can be very happy because of the result,” he declared.

Bengaluru FC are now on the top of the ISL table with 19 points, whilst the Dynamos remain rooted at the bottom after 9 games, yet to register a clear win to their account.
